KING KONG Magazine celebrates its new issue with a legendary exhibition of mythical proportions to amaze the eye and stir the emotions. Its latest contributors have been asked to look anew at old myths and legends, or to create new ones taking inspiration from the world surrounding us, to understand what they can mean today and hopefully envision a shared moment of connection in a very disconnected world.
The featured artists are: Nik Kosmas, Francesca Facciola, Keith Boadwee, Göksu Kunak, Gabriel Massan, HYDRA, Selin Davasse, BORA, Pretty Puke, Carole Méthot & Fatine Violette Sabiri, Matt Grubb, Kenyon Anderson, Shadrinksy, Rozy and Zoé Chauvet, Tillmann Lauterbach, Cool 3D World, Body Snatchers, Sasha Chaika, Unax LaFuente, Charlton Diaz, Éamonn Freel, Mclalan, Koko, Oasis of Hate, Lord of Graphix, Gian X Marco, and Davide Stucchi.
The exhibition mixes an unpredictable Berlin energy, within a functionalist Milanese setting, with an added dash of London eccentricity. These cities have always formed a magic triangle of inspiration for KING KONG, whose eyes and mind travel much further afield to catch the energies from across the world.
KING KONG is a dynamic platform to showcase ground-breaking artists across art, fashion, film, music and literature. KING KONG demonstrates art’s ability to respond to ideas and events that shape our contemporary experience. Art and fashion do not operate in a vacuum, and we portray this multidisciplinary expression and innovation.
KING KONG acts as a creative agency offering a service as think-tank on creativity and production. From day dreams to plans, from paper to exhibition, from virtual presence to feel-good parties, from ideas to functioning reality. Ali Kepenek and Mikel Benhaim, artistic and creative collaborators behind KING KONG, are there to guide the creative process, and deliver a product that goes beyond expectations.
