MARSÈLL
+ SUICOKE MOTO

RELEASE WITH SUICOKE
January 2022 – Marsèll announces the upcoming release of a new collaboration with Japanese footwear brand Suicoke. A launch which, following on from a first collaboration/partnership in SS21, underlines just how effective an avantgarde business model is. The strength of Marsèll’s innovation is revealed not only in the design and quality of its products but equally in the strategic and commercial running of the brand.
The idea behind the project, ever since it began in 2021, has always been to create everyday footwear that blends Japanese culture and Italian craftsmanship, with a genderless style that will push the boundaries of contemporary aesthetics. Every piece is strictly handmade by the expert artisans at the Marsèll atelier in the Riviera del Brenta (Venice) area, where the entire production cycle, from careful selection of raw materials to finishing of the finished product, takes place. The use of innovative technology alongside traditional methods, some of which have almost been lost to memory, results in unique, original pieces that are anything but industrial.
The star of the new Marsèll with Suicoke collaboration is Moto, the Japanese brand’s undisputed bestseller. A new sandal model made entirely in leather with a rubber sole made from recycled material, reinterpreted by Marsèll in an oversize version with a striking sole and wraparound straps. Available in the same five colourways as the Depa model, the first Suicoke sandal created by Marsèll for SS21.
Thanks to major commercial agreements reached with global top players, the Moto launch will rely on the same distribution formula as the debut capsule, which involved brands such as 10 Corso Como, Nordstrom, Browns, and GR8 for SS21. The Moto model will also be produced as a limited release and available exclusively from the most prestigious retailers in the world. In parallel, the distribution of Depa, launched for SS21, will be extended to a larger number of stores.
